Coronavirus (COVID-19) Information And Resources
While the whole world is battling to survive against the invisible intruder in the form of COVID-19, lockdown mounts up everywhere to fight the virus. The effects of COVID-19 differ from person to person. India has become one of the worst affected countries in the world. COVID-19 was at its peak in India in the month of September, after six months of lockdown, but began to subside towards the end of September. This deadly virus yet lurks everywhere around us therefore the practice of Hand Washing, utilization of Hand-Sanitizer and wearing of Masks must continue until it becomes a part of our Hygienic Life-Style.
The virus is mainly transmitted through droplets generated from an infected individual’s cough, sneeze, or exhale. These droplets are heavy and quickly fall on floors or surfaces.
You can also be infected by breathing in the VIRUS if you’re close to someone who has COVID-19, or by touching a contaminated surface which can be transferred by touching the eye, nose or mouth. For those who are already diagnosed with respiratory illness are likely to be affected and can even lead to fatality.
We are proud that Pune Adventist Hospital at Pune, Maharashtra has become one of the COVID-19 care centres and is able to cater the ailing community with 27 beds which are totally allocated for COVID patients and 4 ICU beds. (Pune Adventist Hospital at Pune)

Our Patients. Their stories
On November 22, 2020 the Pune Adventist Hospital had a Thanksgiving celebration on completion of 5 years of the two story building block HEMKAMAL Life-Care which comprises the ICU and private rooms. During an interview with Shri Devichand Nibjia a question was asked to him. “What made you donate this building to the hospital?” and he answered, “I was very sick and admitted in this hospital. I noticed that the doctors and nurses were very good. They treated me and my family with love, kindness and care. This made me feel comfortable and I recovered very soon. During this time I decided to gift the hospital with a building in memory of my late wife and grandson.”
