The Seventh-day Adventist Hospital, Ottapalam, is a pioneer charitable mission hospital established in 1969; as a part of a health care unit of the worldwide organization – the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The hospital is situated in the district of Palakkad which lies adjacent to the Palakkad – Shoranur highway. The objectives of the Seventh-Day Adventist Hospital, Ottapalam is to provide a caring and a healing environment to the sick, to educate the general public in a positive healthful lifestyle, and train committed qualified Christian healthcare personnel to serve the needs of the community. This hospital has grown from a 60 bedded hospital of general practice to a 150 bedded multi- specialty hospital serving a population of over 3,000,000. The hospital owns 32.93 acres of land which facilitates sufficient space for further expansion. We are also involved in charitable and community health work. We were the first voluntary medical team to respond to the outbreak of a cholera epidemic in Attapadi, Palakkad District. Our institution is approved for reimbursement of the medical bills for employees of major Central Government undertakings like I.T.I, Palakkad and senior citizens U.T.I. plans. Employees in B.S.N.L. and other insurance schemes, R.I.L. and Met Life are under our medical services.
